A highly experienced and self-motivated Project, Programme and PMO Manager successful in the delivery of large scale ERP and Digital Transformation projects and programmes using Prince 2 Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Originally from an Aerospace and Defence background at Rolls-Royce Plc, in 1996 I was recruited internally into a large-scale SAP-ERP programme. NineFeetTall Associate Consultant engaged to design a Government Digital Service (GDS) compliant solution to meet a Government Department’s requirements. I identified 70 individual requirements across eight key delivery elements; mobile solution, ‘Live chat’ functionality, web portal delivery, eligibility checking, contact centre delivery, claims and payments processing, underlying secure cloud database, and live Management Information (MI) reporting. Before drafting a specification and running an open procurement to attract potential technology partners. Each was ranked before a final selection was made. In addition, a plan combining Prince 2 Waterfall and Agile methodologies ensured the client met both GDS and all internal project governance requirements. Bid successful with Maximus winning the SBSS contract displacing Capita.

Directly engaged to initiate this £5M+ investment in the full digital transformation of police services including mobilisation of 3,500 frontline staff and officers. The engagement has proved pivotal in ensuring the force maintains its strong reputation for using technology. I have authored a strategy, PIDs and numerous requirements documents and options papers, created both a high-level plan (on a page) using Microsoft Powerpoint and more detailed versions using Microsoft Project. I have also defined process flows using Microsoft Visio and set and managed budgets using Microsoft Excel. The technology platform selected uses Low-Code.
Performing a hybrid programme, project and PMO role, I have been instrumental in supplier selection, engagement and management. Developed and overseen delivery of projects that have successfully deployed innovative technologies including automated facial recognition, public facing online services, Agile development of a secure Android smart phone app, predictive technology, body worn video and digital evidence. The programme, which is delivering quantifiable benefits, reports directly into a Strategic Board that I frequently present, chaired jointly by an Assistant Chief Constable and Director of Finance. The technology environment includes Android Mobile Apps, Windows 10, BYOD, Office 2016, Citrix, SaaS and Microsoft Azure Cloud services.

NineFeetTall associate consultant brought in specifically to assist SHA transition their large scale SAP ERP programme from Stage 2 (Discovery) through Stage 3 (Design) and into Stage 4 (Build). The roles performed evolved supporting the specific needs of SHA at each stage beginning with Programme Manager focused on updating the Programme Initiation Document (PID) during Stage 2 exit to the role of Programme Planner responsible for creating and maintaining a single Stage 3 Programme Plan. Latterly focus shifted once more in response to the need of the programme to perform the Change Project Manager role in Stage 4 responsible for planning and delivering; Impact, Benefits, Organisational Change, Training, Roles & Authorisations, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC).
Quadriga – SalesForce.com Project Manager

NinefeetTall associate consultant to rescue and recover a SalesForce.com CRM project to meet previously committed timescales. Coordination of all project tasks, risks and issues. Leading the delivery team to progress activities identified in the plan whilst working within the agreed project budget. The role included supplier management, delivery to European operations and reporting progress to the CFO, CEO and key stakeholders as well as communication to the business. Following deployment of the SalesForce.com CRM, I then implemented FinancialForce into the UK operation.
Malvern Hills District Council – Waste and Recycling Project Manager

Tendered for and won a contract to select and fit enabling technologies to a new fleet of domestic waste and recycling collection vehicles. Following a review of business benefits the decision in the end was to invest in vehicle CCTV and Vehicle Telematics. I wrote the PID, plan and tender documents, managed suppliers, and led the project from launch to post implementation review.
Worcestershire County Council – CRM and Digital Channels Project Manager

Contracted in directly to implement a programme delivering £10m savings through a customer focused strategy that exploited technologies including an integrated Consona CRM (via Microsoft Biztalk) automated payments, automated phone services, online services, smart phone app’s and SMS text messaging. Led the overall programme and had specific responsibility for implementing multiple projects.
Wiltshire Police – Oracle Project Manager and Improvements Programme Manager
September 2006 – March 2009
Reporting directly to the Director of Resources to project manage the implementation of an Oracle 11i resource management system. Project launch included working with key stakeholders and the third party supplier to lead development of the initiation document, project plan risk and issue logs necessary to deliver the business case. The project was successfully delivered mitigating a significant risk to the Police Authority. Also reported to the Deputy Chief Constable and managed an integrated improvement programme with responsibility for delivering multiple operationally biased projects.
